Iran expects talks with US to continue after ‘positive atmosphere’ in Oman




US and Iran negotiators held indirect talks in Oman on Friday amid a massive US military buildup in the region. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said they were conducted in a “positive atmosphere” with the two sides agreeing to continue negotiations. The talks focused on Tehran’s nuclear programme and, for the first time, the US brought its top Mideast military commander to the table.
