Many Chinese speakers struggle to write characters by hand, despite immense proficiency in recall (reading) and production (typing pinyin).
Will LLMs have similar effects on the ability to produce code? There are many comments on HN in the vein of “deeply reviewing PRs allows my brain to problem solve and scratch the itch of coding,” but it’s unclear whether exercising the brain that way retains the ability to produce code.
Is there any data on the matter?
